The Hamster Wheel that is a Writer's Life

Ah yes, that wonderful wheel of life. It just keeps going round and round, no matter how fast or slow we run, it just keeps going. For Writer's it's often not unlike a hamster wheel. We have our own little cages, I call mine The Writing Cave, and I work hard and follow the beckonings of my Muse as she keeps my heart and mind churning with idea, prose, and chapters. But you know, even a hard core and dedicated writer needs a change of pace, a new scenary. Basically, an excursion outside of the cave to find a renewed source. Yes, that bleary eyed soul, blinking in the bright sun light is me. Soon, I hope to be boarding a plane to the ancient shores of Scotland's Loch Carron for my first Writer's Retreat.
